RANGERS ON TOP
Rangers are at the top of their league being the only club of their division that has not suffered from a single defeat so far and have been earning themselves convincing results after each match is played.
Even though it might seem like things are going well for the Scottish club, the financial department of the club have recruited the services of the consultant Philip Nash as he will be bring the spending of the club under control.
With an estimated of €1 million being loss in each month and the club’s share price collapsing its no real surprise why they decided to seek help from someone out of the club as well as having the chief executive Graham Wallace reviewing the finances with the ultimate goal of making the cuts he promised back in December.
One of those pay cuts have already been declared to the public as the manager Ally McCoist has signed off a pay cut that will be seeing him earning around half of his usual salary. His €825,000 salary was made public in the club’s annual accounts and now McCoist will be earning half of it, which was part of the cost-cutting measures implemented by the club.
A spokesman for the Scottish club told Press Association Sport: “Mr. Nash is a consultant and will be called on from time to time by Graham Wallace as he works on his 120 day restructuring project. Mr. Wallace will call on the best strategic minds in the sporting and business world to put Rangers Football Club back to where they belong.”
Nash has previously worked for well-known clubs such as Arsenal and Liverpool and is now in charge of the finances for Rangers FC as they are hoping he can settle things and avoid having to suffer the losses they are going through in each month.
