Arsenal striker Benik Afobe has said that Scottish club Rangers are one among the many clubs interested in signing him on a loan deal till the end of the season.

Benik Afobe is one of the lesser-known players at Arsenal, and he has said that he is willing to move on a loan deal in order to get some experience.

Afobe is currently finding it tough to get a game with the form of Robin van Persie and now, the arrival of Thierry Henry, keeping him out of the first team for the near future at least. Hence, the 18-year-old is willing to make a temporary move in the hopes of getting first-team experience, with Rangers the favourites to capture his signature according to the latest Betfair football odds.

He has recently revealed in an interview given to SkySports that Scottish club Rangers are willing to take him on a loan deal, which would expire at the end of the season.

Even though Benik Afobe is currently sidelined due to an injury, he is very confident that he will recover in time in order to complete this loan move.

It is thought that around 10 Championship clubs are interested in signing the player, who is thought to be regarded high by manager Arsene Wenger. However, the lack of experience means that he is unlikely to get a game in the near future.

“A lot of teams have been asking when I’ll be fully fit again, including around 10 Championship clubs and Glasgow Rangers, plus a Premier League team. But I won’t be going anywhere just yet due to my injury. It depends what the club want to do really and I’m not sure what the boss wants to do, but I just want to focus on getting fit first” Afobe told Sky Sports.

Another Arsenal player Kyle Bartley is on loan at Rangers right now. Arsenal could do with Bartley, a young right-back, back at the Emirates after having a torrid time with defensive injuries, which has prompted punters to back other clubs rather than stick an Arsenal bet on.
