Rangers FC initiated the 2015-16 season of the Scottish Championship League on a positive note as Mark Warbuton and his team claimed a 3-1 triumph over St.Mirren as both squads faced off at the Ibrox Stadium in a match that saw the home team securing their first victory of the season.

In the previous season of the Scottish 2nd tier League, Rangers had to settle with a place on the 3rd spot but Warbuton who was named as the coach of the team earlier on June 15 of the ongoing year is optimistic that his team can make it further not only in the Scottish League but also in their upcoming League Cup matches.

The first competitive match of Mark Warbuton was back in August 2nd as Rangers faced off with Peterhead for the Scottish League Cup and Rangers snatched a well-deserved victory. This triumph has now allowed Rangers of advancing into the next rounds and will be playing against Airdrieonians on August 26 but so far, things have been going impressively for Rangers and for their recently appointed coach Mark Warbuton.

The chairman of Rangers, Dave King has already expressed his desire to see the club take the top spots of the Scottish Championship League and Rangers are one of the favorites of securing a promotion position of the league. Despite all of the pressure and the expectations that Mark Warbuton and his players have to fulfill in this new season, the English manager believes that his squad can handle all of this added pressure.

Mark Warbuton expressed his confidence in his team as he said: “You have to enjoy it. You can’t drown under it. This is Rangers Football Club and there is that weight of expectation and it is how you deal with it that will determine how well you do. Right now the supporters are happy, we had a good result last week, but now the focus is going to work on Sunday. That’s what they are, they are footballers, they have to go to work, do a good job and send the supporters home happy.”

That statement was released by Warbuton back in August 1rst after Rangers had thrashed Hibernian as they came out as the victorious side with a final scoreboard of 6-2 in the 2nd round of the Challenge Cup.

So far things are going remarkably well for Rangers, the true challenge awaits them as they have to continue winning matches and snatch the coveted promotion spot of the Scottish Championship League.
