Rangers fans have been impressed with the Steven Gerrard era at the club since he was appointed manager in the summer of 2009 and they would not want to lose him anytime soon. Steven Gerrard has been able to rescue Rangers from shadows of arch rivals Celtic and they are now on the verge of winning a first league title in around a decade.


In his second season at Rangers, Steven Gerrard pushed Celtic all the way but his team could not sustain the momentum as Celtic went on to win a ninth successive league title but his third season at Rangers is a lot different from his debut season. Despite his immense work at Rangers, fellow Liverpool legend Ian Rush believes that Steven Gerrard is still not ready for the big Liverpool job. Ex-Liverpool striker Ian Rush told horseracing.net that Steven Gerrard needs to continue to grow as a manager until he’s ripe to take on the challenge of being the Liverpool manager. There has been suggestions that Steven Gerrard could be the right man to take over from JurgenKlopp when the German tactician leaves the club. Klopp is a managerial legend at Liverpool after he masterminded the end to the long wait for a league title for the Reds.The Merseysiders had to wait for three decades to end the long wait for a league title last season.

At Rangers, Steven Gerrard has an impressive win rate after recording victories in 65% of his games at the club till date. The Ex-Liverpool skipper has managed Rangers for 154 games. He has been able to lead Rangers to the top of the table in the Scottish Premiership. Rangers have an 18-point lead over rivals Celtic at the summit and it’s looking like that lead would be insurmountable for Celtic.
