This period of time certainly cannot be a good one for supporters of Rangers as the Scottish club seems to be having problems in all aspects. From financial troubles, to managerial struggles it just doesn’t seem like the bad news stop from falling into the path of the club and its own supporters.

A statement from the Scottish club announced that James Easdale had resigned from his position in the board of the club read: “Rangers announce that James Easdale has resigned from the boards of the company and Rangers Football Club Limited with immediate effect.

He leaves Rangers having never received any remuneration, bonus or compromise payment during his time at the club. He would like to thank all the fans and shareholders who supported him and wishes the club a speedy return to the top flight of Scottish football and beyond.”

The majority shareholder Dave King has urged supporters of Rangers to vote in the upcoming general meeting. King desires to see the current 4 directors of the board (David Somers, Derek Llambias, Barry Leach and James Easdale) to be removed from their position in the club.

James Easdale has already stepped down from his role as Dave King is edging closer towards his goal. Easdale publicly announced his resignation as he said: “I want to see Rangers flourish again with both fans and shareholders working in harmony. To help achieve that objective, I think it is in the best interests of the club that I step aside and resign from the board of Rangers FC.I have formally tendered my resignation to the chairman.’’

Dave King is confident that he his objectives of removing the remaining directors on the board of the Scottish club will be accomplished as he urged the fans of Rangers who are also shareholders of the institution to vote in his favor.
