SMITH CONFIDENT OVER KERKAR

Rangers boss Walter Smith is confident of signing Salim Kerkar. The 23-year-old winger is a free agent after leaving French club Guegnon and has been training with Gers for several weeks.

Smith confirmed over the weekend that Kerkar had been offered a deal and he is now looking to make the move official. Kerkar has made a positive impression in training and Smith believes it would be a good signing for the club. “We are just trying to get the full background before we go on and complete that deal,” he told Rangers’ official website.
